The old house at Tufte Farm was build at the neigbour farm in the 1880/90's.
In 1938 it was moved across the river up to our farm. In 2020 we carefully renovated the building.
The house is called a «kårhus», which in Norwegian tradition is a house where the old generation of farmers moves into when the younger generation takes over.
It has two floors. Her you'll find a living rom, a kitchen, a bathrom and two bedrooms.
Each bedroom has a twin bed which easily can be separated into to single beds.
In one of the bedrooms there are a cot.
The kitchen has all appliances.
You have access to your own garden. The garden has a gazebo.
Parking is just outside the house, in the middle of the farmyard.
On our farm you will see cattle and cats.
Tufte kårhus is very suitable for couples, families and smaller groups.
You'll find us along the section Borlaug-Borgund Stave Church. We are only 2 kilometers away from a grocery store, pub and cafe, fast food.
There are several hiking trails near our farm. You can fish brown trout in the river running trough our farm if you buy a fishing license.
Looking forward to see you!
