We are going on a net fishing trip. Hunting for Norwegian mountain trout.
The meeting place is at Opplev Filefjell at Tyinkrysset where we drive together further up the mountain. After about a 10-minute drive, we park the car and start the walk towards the mountain lake we are going to. The walk takes about 20 minutes.
Once there, we jump in the boat and get ready to pull the net. When we have finished with all the nets, we gut the fish before returning to Tyinkrysset where you can prepare it in our backyard. Enjoy fresh mountain trout!
You choose how you want to prepare it. Different forms of grilling on the fire pan or what about trying to smoke it?
If you want, you can also help set out yarn the day before. You are then involved in the entire process within net fishing.
The yarn pulling takes about 3-4 hours.
Remember to dress warmly as it can be cold in the high mountains even in summer. The weather can also change very quickly. Bring clothes you are not so careful about as we will be raising nets and gutting fish.
There is room for 3 guests in the boat.
Included in the experience: Guide, fishing, fishing license, life jacket and steaming fresh aure meal.
It is possible to book accommodation separately at Opplev Filefjell.
NB: Subject to the weather conditions.
